Towards the end of the classical
period of Ancient Greece they were involved in another war. (Greece vs Rome)!
As you all know the Greek had different leagues and alliances to battle wars
and work together as a team. Meaning that city states in Greece would join
forces to defend their country. After a war known as the Second Punic War, Rome
had been a wreck. An army marching down Italy destroyed many things in Rome for
approximately 10 years. Rome ended up attacking Greece because they had helped
Carthaginians in the Second Punic War which provided the Romans an excuse to
attack them. Fighting in Greece gave many Roman individuals who were living in
poverty, jobs as soldiers. The Romans were victorious and because of their win
they could capture many prisoners of war and sell them as slaves. Ultimately,
the Romans could solve their triumphant army problem. After the success with the
Greeks they moved onto Western Africa and ended up conquering them as well. This
incident or war effected many Greek people in a negative way as they lost a lot
of their power and defense and they were being sold as slaves. (The Greek
didn’t prepare themselves well, so they lost the war).

I believe the Greeks should have been prepared for this war or in other words invasion. They should have put in effort and determination to defend their country. If they had put in all their effort and supplied equipment to win, they wouldn't be used for advantages of Ancient Rome. If in fact the Greek did win they should have tried to help the Romans with their problems that way the Greeks would have Ancient Romans as allies and that decision would have made a better future for both Greeks and Romans.
