We have travelled back in time to
the period 500BC. Welcome to Ancient Greece, oh courageous one. The first
civilization was the Mycenaean Civilization and more civilizations came after
the first one. Anyway, in 500BC Ancient Greece began developing massively. More
interest grew in art, imagination increased wildly and many constructions were
taking place, specifically in the city-state Athens. The effect was that more
knowledge grew, more inventions took place and more power increased. During
this time a Persian war was occurring and the Greek or particularly the
Athens were informed about it. The Greek knew that Persia outnumbered them so
they attended military school and created military equipment (primary sources).
They made armor, Hoplons (shield), Phalanxes (spears) and they created other
useful supplies that would help them defeat Persia. All of their hard-work had
paid off because they had been successful. For the Persians it wasn’t too
thrilling. This war lasted for approximately 11 years with blood and torment.
(The hard-work put in by the Greek effected them because they became successful, by defending their
country).

I believe that the Greeks had the
right to defend their country as they were being attacked by the Persians but I
also think that they should have at least tried to compromise with the Persians
and come to an agreement before assuming that the Persians wouldn’t listen. If
the two countries agreed than nobody would have to battle in war and that would
lead to a more positive future.
